Alright, back to Halloween. The history of the holiday has taken some twists and turns over the years, just like a good scary story. It started with the pagan Celtic festival of Samhain, which was then countered by Pope Gregory III. He wanted to provide an alternative for Christians, making it a time to honor all saints and martyrs.
All that said, the holiday now is a time of candy, costumes and family fun. The key is creativity. Whoever has the best treats or costumes is the highlight of Halloween.
That’s where we get to brands on social media. Don’t be too serious, have fun with it, but most importantly, be creative! Puns like “spooktacular” and “bootiful” will get you a few laughs, but think outside the box. Even brands that have no business getting involved can still achieve social media greatness.
Make a fun play on “fear”, candy, or even just carve your brand logo into a pumpkin. It’s a fun time of year where people let their guard down. As a brand, that means it’s time to get involved.
