We all know that the social world is constantly changing and platforms are updating in an effort to make things bigger, better and faster.  Well, you may have noticed tweets on your timeline that looked a bit different than usual. Here’s an example:

Basically, it’s another tweet embedded in a tweet. The way to do it is simple.

All you have to do is click on the tweet you’d like to embed, and hit the familiar “quote tweet” button. What happens next, though, is the unfamiliar part.

Instead of throwing quotation marks in front of the existing tweet, the tweet is now embedded. And if you tap the box, it’ll take you back to that original tweet. The best part, though? You have 116 characters to fill. Granted, it’s not your full 140 – but it’s a heck of a lot better than having to alter (i.e. “MT”) the existing tweet to make yours fit.

Good stuff, Twitter.
