As a social media community manager, jumping in and out of different Facebook accounts can be very time consuming. Facebook has been making a lot of little tweaks to its platform, and one of the changes we’re excited about is a new “post as” drop down menu for brand pages.
To post on behalf of a brand, you have to log into your personal Facebook then log into the brand page. Now, you can post on behalf of a brand without jumping out of your personal Facebook page.
To use this new feature, log in under your personal Facebook page and then go to a brand’s page timeline. In the post box you’ll find a drop down menu on the upper right hand side. This shows you who you’re posting as and it automatically defaults to post as the page that you’re on.
However, if you’d like to post as someone else, click on the drop down menu and your personal page and all of your brand pages will appear.
It even let’s you reply to comments!
We’re definitely embracing this tool as it makes it way through our social media department.
Do you think this will help streamline content creation and improve user response time?
